Mr. Vo Van Thieu - Director of Saigon Breeding and Food Processing Company (Sagrifood) said that the process of raising herbal pigs has been researched and completed for a long time by Sagri.
Herbal pigs select breed pigs from high quality brood breeds such as Yorkshire, Landrace, Duroc and Pietrain. During the farming process, a mixture of 140 herbs such as rosemary, clove, lavender, basil, sage, thyme ... is imported from Taiwan. Mixed herbs are blended into feed for fattening pigs weighing from 50kg / head until finishing at 120kg / head.
Total time to raise from 50 - 120kg / animal is about 70 days. Pigs are raised on bio-padding and do not use antibiotics in the breeding process to create a safe herbal pork product, free of antibiotic residues.

The results of sample analysis showed that herbal pork has higher nutritional content such as protein, macronutrients and some vitamin B3 compared to regular pork. This product is now available at supermarkets such as Lotte Mart, Co.opmart ...
Recently, the product "Sagri herbal pork" has also obtained the certificate of Top 100 Vietnamese gold products and has been registered for intellectual property trademark by Sagri at the Department of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science - Public turmeric).
"The price of Sagri herbal pork is only about 20% higher than normal pork, so consumers will have more choices" - Mr. Thieu informed
